cleaning an environment after death? That day was hard to breathe…

At 8:30 am on a Monday 02/09/2019 I stop the car on Rua Gonzaga Duque, a street with those village houses next to each other. A narrow street, the ones that only one vehicle passes by.
I leave the car parked a little in front of the property where it urgently needed a forensic cleaning.
What we were told was that a 52-year-old man had committed suicide and we needed to clean up and remove the odor that occupied every block of the street.
When I arrived, the neighbors approached me saying: Young man, are you the one who will solve our problem?
The smell was very strong and reports from neighbors were that they had been trying to find out where the odor was coming from for more than a week.
There is a restaurant on the corner, where the cook was very friendly with the resident and did not believe what happened inside the property.
Upon entering the environment I came across a practically empty house, there was only 01 single bed and a refrigerator.

Even with a protective mask with super powerful filters, the odor could be felt.

And when you thought about removing the mask for a moment, it was difficult to breathe.
In the kitchen there was nothing but a cupboard and some mattresses where the body had been located.
The body was already in an advanced state of putrefaction by the time exposed in the property.
Many neighbors were suspicious of the cause of death, thinking that this man would be incapable of taking his own life. All indications were that he still lived with two more people and these people suddenly disappeared.
In the place where the body was possibly or was found was the kitchen cupboard placed on the floor and mattresses on top of the cupboard and these mattresses tied over clothesline wires.
The doors were sealed with cloths, probably so the odor wouldn't leave the place. In the kitchen over the sink, I noticed that many candles were lit and some went out and others were completely consumed.
Attuale's work is not expert, but on that day it was not possible to understand what had happened in that place.
We removed the wooden floor of the room, because when the body was removed by the authorities, fluids spread throughout the place, leaving the environment even more contaminated.
We packed the mattresses and the floor was all bagged so it could be incinerated.
We filled a truck with floors, mattresses, doors and wood that looked more like a coffin after an exhumation.
After we removed everything and cleaned it, the odor was gone.

The neighbors thanked us for the work done. We were to return on site to execute a budget for the total renovation of the property, but it seems that the Administrator had given up on the idea.
A television station even made some footage but the images were not aired.
Really, there are things in this life that are a mystery!
