OUR ultrasonic disinfection device is capable of generating dense clouds of sub-micron droplets – less than ten microns. Peracetic acid is an equilibrium mixture of hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and water. It is a slightly yellowish colorless liquid with a vinegar-like odor. In Brazil, it was included as a disinfectant/sterilizer by ANVISA Ordinance nº 15 of 08/23/1988 and was recognized as an active ingredient authorized by the Ministry of Health. It maintains its properties in the presence of organic matter, being recommended as a substitute for the use of glutaraldehyde 2% and hypochlorite 1%.
